Shampa Roychowdhury
Shampa Roychowdhury was born in Calcutta and had been brought up there. She joined Gokhale Memorial Girls’ School at the age of four and continued till she finished her higher secondary examination. Later she joined Loreto College to do her graduation and finally completed her post graduation in Political Science from Calcutta University in 1994.
Shampa got married to Dr Jayanta Roychowdhury in 1993 and had a daughter Sreejoyee (Mimi) in 1995. Till 1999 the Roychowdhury family remained in India where Shampa was busy between bringing up her daughter and supporting her husband building his career as a doctor.
Shampa came to the UK in 2000 and had lived in many places since then. In 2002 she moved to Peterborough with her family and settled there. Apart from being a homemaker, she is an active member of BCAP. She is also closely involved with Soka Gakkai International (Buddhist organisation which promotes World Peace and human happiness).
Shampa enjoys watching films, listening to music. She occasionally likes to produce her own exotic Indian cuisine. She loves her life in Peterborough and wholeheartedly welcomes new families to join BCAP and make it even merrier.
